Software Development


In this day and age good software is central to effective capability. Our focus is on delivering software that is;

  • Designed with the user, their organisation, and their role in mind.


Good software is complimented by Robust Engineering Methods. To these ends we employ a wide range of methodologies as well as our experience with formal processes like MIL STD-498, JSTD-016-1995, and CMMI to ensure all our software meets the highest possible standards.


We have experience with a wide range of technologies from C, to C++, to .Net, to PHP to SQL and MySQL, on a wide range of desktop and web-based platforms. We do not evangelise for any particular technology or platform, we pick the solution that best support the task in hand, and provides the most robust and useful product.


All our software is designed with the user as the most important aspect of the system. Human Factors experts review and assist in the development of all software, getting involved at every stage of the development process, from Requirements Capture to Delivery and beyond through the life time of the product.


Our experience of software development includes more than just coding as design. We are experts in Requirement Capture, and Requirements modelling, using classical tools such as Doors, through to modern methods of requirements expression for systems like use-case modelling. But our interests go beyond that, we offer “Through Life Capability Management” supporting the systems we provide, (both software and hardware) through their lifetimes, into decommissioning and recycling.




Systems Integration


Systems integration forms a big part of most modern software development work. Our collective experiences cover integration of commercial systems and infrastructures right though to the integration of sub-systems within C4ISTAR defence systems as part of a systems-of-systems integration programme of work for MoD.

No matter how good your Analysts, Engineers, Software designers, and Consultants are they can’t predict everything. Sooner or later, the real world will do something unpredictable. That is why proper Experimentation and Trials of new processes, methodologies, and tools are essential.
